Michelle has worked in higher education for 15 years, beginning her career as an Assistant Registrar. For the past 12 years, Michelle has been an academic advisor, a position that nurtures her passion for working with students from all walks of life. As the first member of her family to earn a 4-year degree and to pursue a Master’s degree, Michelle understands the unique challenges that first generation students may face. She feels very connected to education as a way to improve life circumstances, and works hard to help her students realize their full potential. Outside of work, you can find Michelle cheering on the Minnesota Vikings, dreaming about the next vacation she wants to take, hanging out with friends and family, or reading a good book.
